Thank you for your interest in Corpus Christi Academy. We provide a unique educational opportunity for Charleston-area families. We would love to share our Classical model of education with you. Many of the greatest Christian scholars and leaders were trained in the Classical method. We firmly believe in providing an education that leads students toward the true, the good, and the beautiful.

  • Step 1: Learn More

We encourage families to learn more about classical Catholic education and how it differs from other Catholic schools and public schools. At this stage, families are encouraged to fill out a student interest form.

  • Step 2: Submit an Application

Applications are now open for the 2022-2023 school year!

Once we receive a completed student application, your admissions file will be processed. The application should have a photo, transcripts from your previous school/s, and standardized test scores (unless homeschooled) for the past two years.

APPLICATION FEE (NON-REFUNDABLE): $50 for first child; $25 for each additional child

  • Step 3: Testing

The Admissions committee will examine transcripts and standardized test scores. Each student will meet with a member of the faculty and be assessed, with sections on math, grammar, and reading comprehension. Due to the rigorous course load, students should not have evidenced any significant learning disabilities or behavioral problems.

  • Step 4: Family & Student Interviews

The Head of School will contact parents to schedule a meeting with a panel of school personnel. In addition, the Head of School and Chaplain will meet with the prospective student. This is a key part of the admissions process and allows everyone to get to know one another. This is also an excellent time for families to ask any final questions regarding school policies and governance.

  • Step 5: Admission Decision

Families are notified in writing of their acceptance or denial of admission within two weeks of the interview. If a student is accepted but that class is full, families have the choice to be placed on a waiting list until a spot opens up.

  • Step 6: Enrollment

Enrollment is to be completed within two weeks of acceptance. Upon enrolling, arrangements for monthly tuition payments and automatic withdrawals will be determined. Students joining the school after the start of the school year will submit enrollment information before the first day of attending school

Admission Standards

Prospective students must demonstrate at least a GPA of 2.25 during their most recent school year. They should also show a desire for a classical Catholic education. Two letters of recommendation are recommended, one from the student’s pastor and a second from a teacher or someone who knows the student (not a family member). A meeting with the Head of School will then be scheduled with the prospective student and their parents to review transcripts and determine whether they will be a good fit for Corpus Christi Academy.
